I have an i3 but I don't think that'll help, I don't want to tear down the car and track where each wire is going to I think it's better to try to find the wiring diagram.

I could potentially test in Finland. I have access to a complete unit. It's not mine but I'll check if it's OK to open it.

I think I'll buy it anyway after this project is complete
