Tesla Model S Front motor SDU for sale

I am selling my Tesla small drive motor (front). I can offer it with the Open Inverter Board or with the original Tesla board. I had to unsolder the current sensors from the Tesla board but I can solder them back in if necessary. The motor comes with side mounting bracket and HV cables.
The motor ...

Re: Zombie not going into Run mode

Yes, as already explained in at least three posts above. You are not meeting two of the three conditions that must be met to go into run mode, as indicated by "status". Set udcsw to 0 and potmin to 500 ( i.e. >491 ) and it should work.

Sorry royhen99 you were absolutely right the issue was ...

Re: Zombie not going into Run mode

I have found a screen recording when I did testing And can confirm that status was set as below
status.PNG
and throttle reading when not pressed as below
pot1 , pot 2.PNG
Could this be the reason for not going into the run mode?

Re: Zombie not going into Run mode

Status has to be "none" to go into run mode. Ideally the throttle has to be connected and calibrated correctly, but may work if disconnected and potmin set to 0.

Thank you very much, I would like to check this. As I had to recall this from memory I may have been wrong. It makes sense as it ...

Re: Zombie not going into Run mode

Thanks for the suggestion but I feel if I haven't sorted run mode issue the throttle calibration issue is secondary. Even with the throttle pedal disconnected it's not going into the run mode still

Re: Zombie not going into Run mode

I have just tried this - no change on refresh. I pressed show errors and it displayed a message no errors. Opmode still remains off. I have to add that this board was made by JLC PCB and I added a CAN chip and few transistors myself. But all buttons reading correctly if I look at dinStart and T15 ...

No stored or reported errors. For Udclim I first used default values and then tried zero as an experiment. I just tried default values the same result. What are the conditions for VCU to go into Run mode?

Re: Zombie not going into Run mode

The inverter? You mean zombie not going into run mode right?

Yes correct sorry I didn't express myself correctly I meant VCU :(

UDCsw is set to 0 which is correct.

It is possible the Vehicle is not working right when set to classic, I will look into this. Please try BMW E31 or E46.

Are you ...

I wonder what is the reason you decided to sell the Volvo C30 in the end. I like this car and was thinking about choosing this for my EV conversion. Is there any gotchas that made you sell this one?

Hey Pete,

I love the idea of the external ESP 32 module. I wanted to make my own by using your design but the firmware link doesn't exist anymore. Did you move it to a different repository?

Re: SDU parameter tuning - major failure - can't select drive gear

Tripmode 1 is the best idea as Catphish suggests.
As an added path to clamp spikes I use suitably voltage rated paralleled TVS in series with a high wattage 25R resistor across the inverter HV input cables as close to the inverter as possible.

Hi Peter could you share the details of your ...
