Updating the Openinverter ESP8266 Web Interface

Hi All,
I have 2 open inverter boards using the esp8266 board, one for my small drive unit and another for my Gen2 charger. I can already access the web UI on 192.168.4.1.
I have been looking for detailed steps to update the web interface from the old UI to the new one on Git, but there don't seem ...

Tesla SDU HillHold functionality question

Hi,
I have a Tesla SDU running the v3 board with firmware version 5.35.R
Is there a way I can implement Hill Hold?
If yes, what are the recommended parameters for a Tesla SDU?

This thread can be closed. No solution found for the fixed PWM output.
I ended up getting a Corsa EPAS control unit to control the electric steering.

Re: Tesla Gen 2 Charger Issue [SOLVED]

Not supposed to be like that. Is your 12v supply stable?

Yes it is. I use the same supply for the Tesla SDU and DCDC converter which run fine.

I did find a solution after going through numerous threads here.

Needed Help with PWM input for EPAS

I have completed an EV conversion using a Tesla Small Rear drive unit running a V5 board with firmware v5.27. I have used an electric steering rack from a Honda that needs a VSS signal that I get from the ABS, an engine pulse signal that I am getting from the Auxilliary PWM Output of the inverter ...

Re: Sending Custom CAN messages from SDU openinverter board

Do you have a known working setup to confirm you Arduino and mcp2515 are working?

Check the crystal frequency for the can controller matches the used library.

Yes, I am using the same Arduino and MCP2515 to read the CAN system for the conversion car, so it works. I have tried to match all the ...

Re: Sending Custom CAN messages from SDU openinverter board

I am having the same issue as @timbradley.
I can not get my MCP2515 to recieve any CAN messages fron the inverter even after mapping them to as TX values.
I have tried to map one value at a time but can not recieve any values. I am using an Arduino with an MCP2515.

Anyone tried reading CAN messages ...

Did you manage to fix it?

Sending Custom CAN messages from SDU openinverter board

Can I send custom CAN messages based on SDU value mappings?

For example, I would like to send the CAN messade ID 0x43F over 8 bits starting at Bit 0 with the decimal value of 13976218851319218176 when "Forward" direction is selected.

Can this be done over the web interface or CLI?

Re: ZEVA has gone "open sorce"

LTC6803 introduced a CRC so you would need to add to the driver code in order to use it. however is pin compatible so no PCB changes. I bought a bunch of ltc6802-2 from an Alibaba IC sourcing company since their min order quantity was 50 units. They have all worked flawlessly so far and I have so ...
