Identical j1772 recpitcal pins

being unable to find 40amp j1772 receptacle pins, i stumbled upon something with near identical dimensions.
while digging threw a bin full of surplus amphenol connectors i found; MS3452W22-22P, and its accompanying pins M39029/29-215

the pins (M39029/29-215) contacting dimension are exactly 3.6mm, the same as the live and neutral (L1,L2/N) pins on a j1772 port.
The j1772 pins are about 27mm tall, the amphenol pins are about 17.5mm. now if you factor in the tapers on both pins; amphenol about 16mm, j1772 about 19mm. 3mm difference.
