Can you post up a picture of the inverter. Will help me recognise.
I'm going to need a hacksaw

Hi. I've got the same connector on my G9200-30131 inverter. I havn't try it with the Zombieverter yet.
I draw the pinout diagram from the Toyota EWD database, but I can't find it right now. I'll try to find it tomorrow.

I also found out that my inverter (and yours) has a DC/DC converter and a separate connector to control it.

Magic - thank you.

I figured the chunky 12v connection must be for DC-DC. I may end up using the one on the charger (Outlander) as I have with my first car. But good to have the option.

Here it is.
Please, let us known if Zombie communicate to inverter. As far as I understand, folks havn't yet hacked MTH/HMTH packages of 2013+ inverters (not Prius).

That's amazing - thank you.

You're right about this inverter - as far as I know, no-one has it running with Zombie yet. But I've enlisted some helpers who are willing (perhaps in exchange for beer) to help me work it out. Seems like it would be a good package for a lot of people's projects so worth the investment.

Not sure if this should stay in this thread, but appreciate help confirming the below before I stick it into the wiki. This is based on what I've gathered from various bits of the forum.

Power Connections
+B2 = 12v
+B = 12v
GND2 = GND
GND1 = GND

Resolver Connections - Generator (MG1/2?)
GRFG = R2
GSNG = S1S4
GCSG = S1S4
GRF = R1
GSN = S2
GCS = S3

Resolver Connections - Motor (MG1/2?)
MRFG = R2
MSNG = S1S4
MCSG = S1S4
MRF = R1
MSN = S2
MCS = S3

Comms Connections (already on the wiki)
MTH+ = Inverter to Hybrid controller data frame
MTH- = Inverter to Hybrid controller data frame
CLK+ = Clock signal from hybrid controller to Inverter (Constant 500KHz)
CLK- = Clock signal from hybrid controller to Inverter (Constant 500KHz)
HTM+ = Hybrid controller to Inverter data frame
HTM- = Hybrid controller to Inverter data frame
REQ+ = Request line from hybrid controller to Inverter
REQ- = Request line from hybrid controller to Inverter

I think I should draw one more pinout picture (for resolver connector - motor side).

I don't have the motor/gearbox yet (focused on kitting out my new workshop) but that would be very welcome.

That's the pinout for the both of motors.

Last connector question @chuuux - do you know what the connector is for the DC-DC on that inverter?

Inverter's side of DC-DC connector is the same 90980-12520 8 pin female.
Toyota Crown DC-DC plug.jpg
So you need 90980-12519 8 pin male connector.
I've opened bottom side of camry's 3Gen invertor with the same connector. Colors of control wires and equal with Prius Gen3 internal wires. So we should try the same logic of control.

We'd like to help. We have a good supply of Gen3 Pruis inverter/converter boxes. The boost converter fails on up to 2014 models so are plentiful from repair shops.

I'm in the process of making a SPI/CAN frankensniffer to decode these. Where can I get information already got on this?
Using the GS450H VCU to spit clocks at an inverter I've found the following mth data so far:

(100,101) and (102,103) are bus and battery voltages. (they were bridged together so I don't know which is which)
(51) is coolant temperature in C
(10,11) is MG1 speed (rpm?)
(40,41) is MG2 speed (rpm?)
(118,119) checksum

Now we have two "evbuilder" :) Not sure if that's even possible, but would you mind slightly changing your nickname?

Well I did see that and thought it could cause confusion. I chose it to be the same as my GitHub handle, not that there is much in there.

Let me see if I can change it...

Edit:
No, sorry. I guess I could just abandon this account and make a new one.

If I understand the operation of the oil pump sprag clutch, with a locked input shaft, the oil pump will not be driven if the output shaft is driven in reverse. Thus, reverse operation of the vehicle will potentially damage bearings.

I think you must drive several miles reverse to damage bearings.

Got an L210 and is300h inverter on the way. 450 euros delivered. Will be doing some testing with is300h inverter, gs450h inverter and prius gen3 inverter and zombie vcu soon :)

Excellent! You're going to beat me to it as I'm still consumed with swapping over Outlander motors.

For those wanting to lock the input spline like on the GS450h stuff, I got this clutch disk from eBay :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203877497410 ... media=COPY

Fits the input spline of my IS300h gearbox perfectly and should save a few £ vs an official Lexus one. No doubt these Toyota ones can be found for cheaper elsewhere used.
