FYI: Fiesta clutch fits front motor splines

Post by bobby_come_lately »

Just an FYI for anyone playing with the Outlander motors. I noticed Fiesta clutches had the same bore and spline count so grabbed one out of the recycling bin at my local garage today. Sure enough, it's a very good fit with very little play.

I've added this to the wiki here along with the model number: https://openinverter.org/wiki/Mitsubish ... put_Shafts

That's brilliant! So, plenty of options in short. Shall add these to the wiki later.

I cut down the Ford clutch today. The centre piece actually drops out - it isn't welded to any of the arms as it is on my BMW clutch plate. Should make it a little easier to weld into a coupler. In the photo below it is partially in/partially out of a 37mm i/d tube.
