Rx en Tx need tobe connected so swap them.

Leave 5Volt unconnected if the device is externally powered.
Converting an Porsche Panamera

Finally got the CAN messages. Thanks for your patience.

We have the unit charging, however, PIN 1 is not outputting 12V when AC is present, so we are manually jumpering it to complete our BMS requirements.

Any ideas why PIN 1 is not outputting 12V?

Thanks, once again, for any suggestions you can offer.

I’m going to leave mine permanently connected and work towards having the DCDC kick in when the 12v battery dips too low (also for running the water pump during charging).
Hi - did you ever get the permanent 12V working as described? Our board is not outputting 12V on Pin1 when AC is present, which doesn't allow the rest of our control narrative to run (AC present, contactors close, charge enable signal to Pin3). When we bypass and provide 12V as if coming from Pin1, the control narrative functions properly. Just can't get the board to give 12V out of Pin1.

We've tried the 12V board power "timing" described above but no amount of timing or permanent connection seems to work.

Please advise & thanks!

By "Pin 1" are you referring to the AC Present signal? If so it will not output 12v. It, and all other, outputs on the board are low side switches. If you require a 12v ac present signal then use a relay with its coil switched from the relevant pin.

Added this to the wiki [1] because past-me also didn't understand this. 🤦
I am listening into the CP & PP with a separate circuit.

Hi Damien or anyone...
Would you advise me if i can wire 3x Gen3 Charger Enable and Active in parallel as single output so i can connect them directly to my DUE board?
I would then have only 1x Enable pin and 1x Active pin on my DUE to steer all chargers. i would setup charger in 3phase mode anyway.
Is that doable or is that something i dont want to do? Are that Enable and Active lines native to its own module?

tnx

Glad to hear this! The "+12v out" on the wiring diagram confused. Might not be the exact wording, but ir is something like that!

I have a gen 2 logic board V5aB3. The board works fine when it boots, but I have it restart it several times to get LED1 to start blinking. I found in an earlier post that you could fix that with a jumper on CONN4 . but that was an earlier board, this version does not have that. does anyone know a fix for this problem?

No reason for that to happen nor have I ever witnessed that type of behavior. How are you powering the charger?

It is powered with 12 volt from the key switch circuit. This is my second board. the first one is running perfectly. I've swapped this board into the other charger and it had the same problem.
