D1 Mini with Asus router has issues

I am documenting a issue I found with D1 mini's and the Asus Router. Summary is they might not work well together. I had to set a static address via the LAN/DHCP settings and turn off IGMP.

I had my router die recently and replaced it with a Asus RT-BE3600. I was unable to connect to the zombieverter unless I was not at home or I turned off my Asus router, then I could connect via the d1 mini wifi and view the web pages. If I had my router on I could not load a page even if I was connected to the wifi from the zombieverter D1 mini. I have now told the D1 Mini to not connect to my home network. I can see the web interface while logged into the wifi from the D1 mini.

At the same time my D1 mini's that are running on my ESPHome/Home assistant dropped off the network. All but one. I have no idea why one is working. I finally got ESP home to work with one by assigning a static IP address then turning off IGMP on the router. So far this is working but I am not sure what happens if things power up out of order or if some other trick makes them connect. One of the D1 mini's was easy to get to and I replaced with a seeed controller. The seeed controllers seem to work fine.

Hope this helps anyone who faces a similar issue.
