EV buying advice with proper V2G V2H V2L capability

Post by pvpv »

Hi there,

I really admire the projects you guys post in here and would hope I can convert my favorite 80s car sometime in the future.

At the moment I am kind of in a rush to decide what ev to pick to replace my combustion engine car with a used EV... hoping V2X will be available soon I want to do the right choice and would appreciate your input:

The used EV should:
have at least 58kwh battery or more
be cheap and have good part availability (EU)
5seats+proper trunk to carry my family in the holidays
V2X compatibility
proper DC-charging speed via CCS

That narrows it down quite a lot...to VW Nissan Kia/Hyundai Stellantis and maybe MG I guess

What do you guys think about my requirements, what brand do you prefer, which one is documented best and also best choice when facing repairs and will definitely be able to charge the house as well?

I don't know which voltages will be involved in those cars and right now I have large PV and a Deye LV battery hybrid inverter, but I could easily source hi voltage hybrid inverters (the one used in the video by Johannes is dirt cheap right now!). Let me know if there is a goto solution already regarding PV hybrid inverters.

Thanks for your input
