The idle mode is always. Does not work.

Hello everyone.
I remember very clearly that I used this mode on one of the previous firmware versions, and it always kept the engine running at idle for automatic transmission.

However, today I was unable to start it. I tried pressing the "start inverter" button while holding down the brake pedal, and I also tested the 5.35 FOC, 5.32 FOC, and even the 5.27 FOC firmware. However, I was unable to make this mode work (Nissan Leaf AZE0 Gen2 engine and inverter).

What did I miss for this mode of operation?

Moved to Drive trains. Please check for a better category before posting under "General".
A classical task for the new maintainers to take care of!

I thought that the question about the program code corresponded to the "general" section in "inverters" . Please forgive me if I was wrong.

Alright, couldn't help it... It works on the latest 5.38 firmware with the inverter in run mode (not manual run!)

This is great, but I haven't seen this firmware version in the releases. Where can I find it?

It's unreleased. Though I do expect the former versions to achieve the same

Is it possible to become a beta tester?

I didn't notice any significant differences in our settings, but this mode doesn't work for me.
You have cruise support enabled, but I have it disabled. Could there be a problem in this area?

7.2seconds 0-100 km/h on grass!!

this car uses a firmware version with a modified syncadv principle (5.36.42B-foc), and the battery voltage is 260 volts. two Outlander motors.

It would be interesting to test the updated firmware on it.

To the best of my knowledge johu has no desire to make any further releases of his firmware. The old continuous integration builds like 5.36.42B-foc have aged out and GitHub has deleted them. Those changes have been merged into the master branch though so you could grab the firmware and build it yourself.

I have, today, made a first release of the Tesla Model 3 Drive Unit firmware (https://github.com/davefiddes/stm32-sin ... DU_v5.39.0). This is targeting Damien's Tesla M3 project. In theory it should work on all previous Huebner hardware platforms but has received absolutely no testing on them. If you are prepared to take the risk it might not work or break your inverter/car/person then it may prove to be a way forward. I don't plan on providing on-going development or support for anything other than the M3 DU. The release comes with no warranty or support.

This is very sad news. 99% of the community will not be able to collect firmware files on their own.

how do I get to this merged branch?
and thank you for your build, I will definitely test it.

The master branch is what you get when you do a "git clone" of the stm32-sine repo. I.e. it's the default.

I found out the reason why my idle mode wasn't working! I hope this information will be useful to someone in the future.
I had the values of pot2min and pot2max set to 0. Even though I had the offthrotregen setting set to 0, it still created a conflict in the program code, and the mode didn't work. As soon as I changed the pot2min = 100 and pot2max = 4000, the idle mode started working regardless of the offthrotregen setting.

Oh, how strange! Thanks for figuring that out.
