[WIP] 71 Super Beetle conversion

I'm working on pulling together a 71 Super Beetle for my conversion base. Car has no engine so nothing to remove there. Had an excellent discussion with @Bratitude of Brat Industries and we think we're going to try using an Outlander rear drive unit in place of the VW transaxle.

I have decent mechanical skills and have built my own CNC router and converted my bench mil to CNC so I have a modicum of experience with electronics and tidy wiring. Have metal lathe, MIG, TIG and metal fab tools so I'm confident in those areas. Am a complete noob in the EV world though so will need lots of guidance.

Welcome! Would love to see some pics.
Look forward to following your build. I'm still deciding between a tesla m3 & outlander motor for my vw t2.
Where are you based?
