Questions about Leaf contactors and 12V current shunt

Hello everyone.
I've looked around quite a bit and can't find out if the Leaf main positive and negative traction battery contactors have a built-in economizer, depend on the VCM for some sort of PWM function or simply are driven all the time with 12VDC from the VCM. I looked at Damien's stm32_vcu.cpp code and it looks like the driving outputs are just set high to turn them on.
In a different area of the car, does anyone know what the current sensor on the 12V battery negative terminal outputs. I've read in the 2015 service manuals that it should be 2.5V with zero current (which makes sense) but what delta does it output per amp or however its specified?
I will soon have the ability to investigate these but was just curious if anyone knows.
