I have some Lin logs from my missus's e2008
From the heater and I believe a/c Lin bus this runs a 5kw eberspacher heater.
I started the log full hot I believe then full cold then full hot again. I did verify the heater hose were getting warm.

What is the other component on the same network? AC compressor or a pump?

Small issue to gum up the works, it has a heatpump setup so using the AC compressor to heat the cabin. We will need to figure out how to force it to do ptc heating.

Code: Select all
Heat pump (HP) Yes
HP Standard Equipment Yes

There wasn't a pid in diagnostic data for heater.
There wasn't a diagnostic activation for the heater.
How about if I unplug the compressor.
Was that 'heat pump yes' from my data?

Could try charging.......it's a battery heater in principle..... although heater hoses come right off it

Yeah if I unplug the compressor and the coolant still gets hot then it has to be the heater.

That is the quickest test. Also good to easily identify the LIN ids for the AC compressor
The yes heat pump is from reading up on the e-2008 specs

Got it working it tries drawing current and pulls down my HV power supply. Now its time to do testing on a real setup (I do not have one).

My HV wiring just rocked up.
Part number 4-2103177-1 for the housing.
A TE HVA 280 apparently.
Stellantis part number is 9826145080 and has two of these connectors on either end of a pair of cables. The hvil appears to be internal to the plug (can't see any external LV wiring) .
Back of plug to back of plug is 30cm

It also is a nice and readily available connector which is a bonus.

Note this is just the housing not a full set with crimps, backshell and seals.
