Newb Asks: Is There No Current Shunt In The Leaf Contactor Box?

In comparing the Nissan Leaf contactor box to the BMW hybrid sBox I can't help but notice the absence of a current shunt, am I correct in assuming the Leaf box does not hold such apparatus or is it buried deep inside it's bowels somewhere? If indeed there is no current shunt in that box, how and where is the current measured? My experience with the Leaf box is limited to staring at pics of one on eBay listings, so please be gentle.

Actually the one you caught on camera has one in the upper left corner ;)
Laters gens have it on the service disconnect.

They are all hall effect, not shunts
