I am almost sure I read somewhere that the OUT_ERR I/O signal pulls down 12V to ground, when an error occurs. Now I can't find that reference anywhere in the documentation.

I wanted to test the OUT_ERR functionality by simulating a pre-charge error.
1. Powering up with HV present: Web interface showed no errors. Measuring OUT_ERR both towards 12V and ground gave at hand that it clearly had ground potential (0V). This puzzled me, since I thought this would be the behavior when there is an error active.
2. Powering up with HV disconnected: After a few seconds web interface showed "pre-charge error" (or something similar) when the pre-charge timed out. However, the OUT_ERR still had ground potential. It actually had 0V throughout the whole power-up sequence. Both before and after the error became active.

So my questions are:
1. Have I completely misunderstood the behavior of OUT_ERR?
2. Is there an error que that needs to be acknowledged for the OUT_ERR signal to show current status? (Grasping for straws!)
3. How do I correctly use the OUT_ERR signal?
