ISA shunt alternatives

Are there any cheapish alternatives to the ISA Shunts? Or any vehicles worth scavenging from?
Ideally to work with a zombieverter so voltage and current sensing. 500A is probably sufficient but 1000A is better.
If not, any recommendations for a cheap option whilst bench testing?

Well my idea was to make a dedicated VCU ESP32 that would sense voltage and current via conventional sensors (hall sensors) and report values on the same CAN telegram ISA works. This would make it a direct replacement with some additional features. Notably possibility to use VCU as Chademo control directly.
By now i managed to build one sample and prepare it for testing but i would need someone more knowledgable in programming. I am slow to learn that skill and i have a lot to work on right now.

Can you by chance offer any programming knowledge to the project?

Unfortunately I'm no programmer although I do have friends that are. Perhaps I could request help from them.... Do you have details of your setup somewhere on here? I do like the plug and play and flexibility of your option, especially if it is more affordable.
