That brings back some memories. We went to Mali Lošinj with Mazda and my 3phase charger got worked up :). After arriving to the camp i dared my friend to join us with his smart. It was hillarious. Even though he had only 18kWh battery and he had to stop for 5 times, he still spent less time charging than me :). Courtesy of 22kW Brusa charger.

Nice, now besides EV grin you also have solar grin. Will you also do some sort of energy storage?
Brave to do it all by yourself

You think battery energy storage ? No I wont this time. I will all energy send on grid, and in outumn when will be less sunshine days I will consume it for heating. (energy collected in summer)
But on year basis I still have to spend more then I produce, from 1.1. to 31.12

Today I was at Rimac company, my friend is working there and he is making Corsa EV , so they are allowing him to use tools to make his conversion. I went there to help him to mount the batterie . Motor is from forklift and zapi controller .
I can share some pictures that I'm allowed to.
This cars are testing examples.

Strong BMW i8 vibes from the rear end. Not a bad thing though. :)

I bet our local VW factory would not let me use their workshop. Let alone take any pictures. Thumbs up to Rimac

Last weekend I was at Rimac Factory again. I was hoping that someone will drive me in Nevera, if some car and driver will be there. I went to help a friend to wirening some batteries and CEO Mate Rimac came.
He was realy mad on one car driver employe because he left him empty car, only at 9% (I knew it won't be any drive... :( ). One hour later , after some charging (with 40kw) Mate came to unplug the car. I just came to him and asked nicely if is he willing to drive me one round :)))) , Despite of situation that it was he drove me in the fastes production car in THE WORLD :))
He is really cool guy .
They were offering me a job (not he personaly but chef of one department), but I had to refuse it... :(((

Very nice, he's meeting DIYers again. Remember "crodriver" on diy electric car forum?

Cool thing they show this on television. And I noticed Croatia uses the same symbol for public chargers as France - car with a tail ;)

This comprehensive video is a reminder of the good old days when I was working on this conversion and really enjoyed doing it. I was very passionate from start to finish. Even until today. Still one of the best cars that BMW EVER MADE !
