Hello,
I want to introduce my project here. I bought bmw e39 two years ago and since then I started to collecting parts for electric conversion. I bought 9 tesla modules, warp 11 and zilla Z1K controller. First of all I wanted to make some restauration of the car to look better and protect it form corosion. I bought new seats and interiour , M stering wheel, M fenders and I painted whole car.

Last few days I removed all unneccesery parts. Car is now 278 kg lighter. Before I remoded motor , I tried to simulate cranckshaft signal with arduino. Tnx to Damien code. And it works .

Looks like you're making a lot of progress!
I wouldn't paint the car until close to the end in case of accidental damage...
Are you going to stick with the Netgear DC setup?

Yes , it goes DC setup. I bought motor and controller two years ago. Back then logic boards for AC "didn't" exist. Also the high voltage of AC boders me. It's not something to play with. Yes I agree with you about painting, but if you make so expencive conversion and spend lot of time to make it, it is harder to leave car for couple of weeks to someone that you don't know ... I would rather be more careful to not damage the paint during conversion.

I do love the E39. One of the best cars ever made. I have the ability now to fully simulate the DME can messages so you can get the abs , asc etc to work. Will post it up on github in a few days.

Hey nice work.

How do you intend to install Tesla batery? Are you now allowed to weld boxes in the car chassis in Croatia?
