Hi,

I’m trying to find a way to clear the programming on a drive inverter I purchased on eBay. Tesla will not reset the drive inverter as it is paired with a different vehicle.

I need to replace it as my current drive inverter failed and now I’m out $1000 for a drive inverter that won’t work with my vehicle because Tesla Toolbox won’t overwrite the software.

Please let me know if there is a way to clear the data on the inverter.

I believe in one of Damien's videos he talked about doing something like that, in his case to overwrite with OpenInverter firmware.

I don't recall which Model 3 video it was.
