Since I got the VAG sensor working, the GM one went down the priority list. Once I have the cluttered bench cleared of multiple mini tasks, I'll get back to it. I am pretty sure it was something simple I was missing
I jusr ordered one GM sensor. Will publish what i find out.
I tested the unexplored Bosch (GM) 0265 005 321 vac sensor. It has integrated check valve so you just install input hose on one side and output hose on the other.
It seems it is a 5V unit. I got it with connector and a pigtail. So i supply 5V to yellow/orange (pin 3) and black/yellow (pin 2) wires and i got response on the yellow/violet (pin 1) wire. When at outside pressure you get 600mV but if you supply underpressure you get analog voltage response. My testing was limited to a hose and UP28 pump but i still got over 3V result. Hope it helps.
But I decided I will stick to my Volvo switch P/N 30645383 since it is really simple to use.
Damien used a driveshaft from a BMW 735i
North America I don't think the 735i was ever sold here.
This might be old news but, I can confirm that a 2006 BMW 750i driveshaft will bolt up to the 450H transaxle.
Centre plastic bushing will need to be drilled out using a 5/8" drill bit.
Just like Damien said.

My attempt at making a driveshaft for my convert 2006 e46 using the Lexus 450H trans.
I'm sure it won't work for most but, it might give ideas to others.

Can anyone who knows about throttle pedals steer me in the right direction to locate a suitable pedal for my VW bus? I need a floor mounted type like a BMW one but I'm not sure what is going to need the least amount of modding/fabrication or will give me a suitable operating position. I don't have any photos right now but the cab floor is flat with a slight bend upwards at the front. At full travel the pedal is almost horizontal. Should I be looking for something from a truck rather than a car?

I recommend you start at the beginning of this very thread with toyota pedals. viewtopic.php?p=3772#p3772
Thanks arber but I can't use that kind of pedal. I don't have a firewall or wheel arch at the front of the cab, just a horizontal floor.

Like i said, you can make your own pedal adapter/slope out of wood or weld it from sheet metal.

I'm using the 1-series pedal Dave. Very simple to use with two 5v outputs. I 3D-printed an adaptor plate that allows it to sit in the original mounting position for the old analogue pedal in my Z3. I also have a design for an adaptor for flat floor mounting that I use in my test setup - see pic. Happy to share that design or send you one if you don't have a 3D printer?

Thanks for the kind offer. I've ordered an E46 pedal now, with the mounting bracket (they seem very common). I might not need any kind of adapter if I use the bracket, but we'll see when I get the vehicle back and start looking at it.
I can't recommend using those. This is what they looked like on my friend's Volvo V70 after just two years. It was used to connect a new pig tail for the temperature sensor.
It is not in a very hot place and still the tubing became brittle. The flux inside started to corrode the wires and the soldering connection was very poor, but that was not visible from the outside.
I had to cut the wire, clean the residue of the shrink tubing, solder and shrink tube it again. In the end it cost more time than it saved.
Maybe they're better when you can get them in decent quality, but I don't think you get that from Aliexpress.

Hm... that would be bad. I can only say i use them for 2 years now and i allways put them into a heatshrink sleeve or those white electrical tubes.
Havent had a problem up to date. Not saying there wouldnt be...

When my Webasto EVO control board broke and after i tried to fix it unsuccessfuly i searched online for spare board.
Surprisingly i found that in neighbouring Hungary: https://norx.hu/
He seems to sell replacement boards for various Webasto coolant heaters and he has done away with Webasto timer. It only needs a switch to start the heater. Diagnostic is still through W-bus.
I got 2x Gigavac GV200 contactors from Jag Ipace that pull 3A each! Obviously they were run by a central circuit somewhere. To fully use them i would have to drop voltage and feed them PWM. But i dont want to reinvent the wheel.
Does anyone have a schematic for 12V contactor economizer?
EDIT: I have found an application UC that could work. TI DRV103 could drive 3.5A relay coil for a moment and then switch to PWM. Time and PWM parameters could be preset and circuit would run from direct external power. https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/drv10 ... 1743890684
I will make one or two examples for testing, but if someone has any experience with that chip please share.
tnx

Nope... i got them from Jag battery box, so they must have had some proprietary economizer...

Not technically an ev part but I’ve discovered a useful size radiator for a conversion that can be bought new for as little as £35 (40euro)
Comes from a fiat cinquecento

Yes i use the same fiat 500 radiator from 1988 in my peugeot to cool motor, inverter and chargers.
Edit: mine has also integral coolant tank which i use to deair the system.

I have a MES-DEA 70/6E2, never use it.
Only have a paper from maker, connector it is just a 12v pin but i dont find the pinout.
somebody know which is the positive and negative here ?
The real problem i see is using brake switch. I think we would need more variation of them.
I had a problem with Dracarys switch. It is easy to use, but it is terribly unreliable. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dracarys-Acces ... B07H9664YM
It locks off at random. I found it is good to spray some WD40 into the switch before installation. But still when it goes dry membrane still sticks. I will try MIG welding spatter spray next...
