Tesla LDU V4B X2 Crystal + difference between V4 and V5

Hi, I have a question about LDU Logic Board PCB. I noticed that on many boards that i have seen over the internet
the X2 on PCB on v4 logic board is missing on finished products. Do I need this crystal? I ordered it and have it but not sure if I should solder it on.
What is that Crystal for?
And one more question, what is the difference between V4 and V5 LDU Logic boards? I understand there something about higher clock advantage? Comparing both seem like they are very similar boards.
