1)It's always my fault.
2)You can drive a 2 ton E39 on the motroway at 60mph with no coolant in a Gen3 prius inverter and the Toyota engineers protect the transistors.
2)Tesla gen 2 chargers thermal limit at 92C.
4)The Siemens motor is very tough.
5) See item 1.
:D :D :D Oh man...that's hilarious. Glad to see you figured out 2 and "2". ;)

You should sell t-shirts in your webshop that read:

You're doing it wrong!

Always an enjoyable watch, out of interest what do you charge you phev modules to? 4.1v or 4.2v?

Long time no update. As some of you will know I have a bench setup with a GS450h and GS300h now for software testing with the VCU. A few folks on Patreon had suggested fitting the 300h to the yacht and I started parts gathering for an "auto swap" :) Anyway, plans change and I'm now going to pop the 450h in the E39 as it will give me a nice testbed to get things like gearshifts etc ironed out. The 300h is going in .....a new project:)

Looking good. This is the project that makes mine easier :) I can see the gearbox mounts line up well aft of the standard chassis holes. good for weight distribution a hway. If I recall you already had added more, not sure if that was on this car.
I would argue with the 2 tonne thing by the way, my touring is 1850kg. How many leaf cells are in the front, presume you are keeping same battery?

A point of clarification: are transmission jacks crap in general for getting it in place, or just that particular type? Any recommendations on something that's not crap?

It looks like a motorcycle or ATV jack. My guess is the GS450h is about 100lbs/50kgs over what the jack is designed for.
