Hi!
I got a problem with my leaf+oi the other day. Everything has been working fine during the summer but now the inverter gets stuck in opmode off and it’s unable to close the precharge relay. If I “ground” the relay manually it closes and precharge is completed. The inverter is unable to close the main contactor when pin 22 is activated.
If looks like the logic that’s responsible for “grounding” pin 42 and 43, precharge and main contactor is “broken”.
Does anyone know if this done on the oi-card or if it’s a function in the leaf-part of the inverter?

Re: Unable to close precharge and main contactor
Thank you,
Will do. We think that thunder/lightning caused a fault in the inverter. The BMS was affected as well.

Re: Unable to close precharge and main contactor
Hey!
Got some progress on this issue. I am now able to close the precharge relay and get udc=battery voltage. When I press start there is a slight delay before the precharge relay is opened again. The issue now is that the main contactor wont close. Tried a new contactor but that did not help.
As I understand it I should look at pin 2 on the stm for the signal, 3v?, that activates the driver for OUT_DCSW.
1. Just to calrify, looking at the schematics for the output driver. Is the main contactor powered from the uln2003Ad or the mosfet, or both?
2. Can this be verified when the motor, and encoder, is not connected to the inverter?
Thanks!

Re: Unable to close precharge and main contactor
1. It is driven by the mosfet
2. Yes motor connection is not needed
Maybe swap the mosfet?

Re: Unable to close precharge and main contactor
Thanks,
Yes it’s a new card but I tested it with the old, and possible broken contactor.
If I manually engage the contactor after pressing start, it all works so it looks to be isolated to the mosfet.
I have some spares
