AUDI A4 B5 conversion to 135 volts
Hi. I started a new project back in May of this year, but I've been collecting spare parts for a very long time for 2 years.
I bought 40 LIFIPO4 batteries with a capacity of 120 ampere hours. Asynchronous motor 132 dimensions 5.5kW at 1000 rpm, rewound to 22 volts at 50Hz. The rated current turned out to be about 300 amperes and 60 Nm of torque at this current, the figures are approximate.
In the photo, how I docked the engine to the box, then I docked the whole assembly, I didn't take a photo

I disassembled the car, removed the engine and the box, then docked it already assembled to my box.

My partner and I made a mount for the vacuum pump, for batteries under the hood and an inverter mount, the batteries will be placed under the hood of 12 pcs and 28 pcs in the trunk.

Re: AUDI A4 B5 conversion to 135 volts
Due to the fact that one box with batteries was getting too high
, I had to saw the transition plate already in place, there was no desire to remove the engine with the box.

Re: AUDI A4 B5 conversion to 135 volts
The assembly is already nearing completion. It remains to compress the terminals on the power cables, complete the installation of plates between the batteries and connect the BMS. I'll take the last photos a little later

I am always on the lookout for a B5 conversion of any model.
Good luck!

I made some more progress on the project, installed an electric pump from Opel, I made boxes for batteries

Re: AUDI A4 B5 conversion to 135 volts
I did the first trips, the speed turned out to be a maximum of 80 km per hour, the power consumption at a speed of 60 km per hour is 5600w, while such results, I will shoot the video a little later

Re: AUDI A4 B5 conversion to 135 volts
After the conversion, I drove 1000 km, but as the cold weather came, the inverter started to malfunction, there were two times, I switched to protection. The day before yesterday, the protection worked and I stayed on the road, 1 transistor broke through. I ask for help from the society, what could be the reasons for the breakdown of the inverter associated with the cold?

Re: AUDI A4 B5 conversion to 135 volts
The only problem I could think of would be condensation, but other than that the electronics shouldn't have any problems with cold temperatures. It's only batteries that aren't happy about the cold.

Re: AUDI A4 B5 conversion to 135 volts
I opened the inverter, and I could not find a drop of water in it, one of my friends said that there might not be enough capacitance of capacitors in the inverter, when the cold increases the load

Re: AUDI A4 B5 conversion to 135 volts
can I file your settings? At least I went there. I burned as many as three controllers and got tired of it, replaced it with a Nissan motor, now it drives perfectly. however, Acim Motor is still waiting for detailed proceedings in the future.

I have such settings, but it's for a 135 volt battery

Re: AUDI A4 B5 conversion to 135 volts
Thanks. I'll compare it with my own.
Two questions:
Why are the specified values of sincosofs here?
What is the firmware version? I see that it's old, but what is it?
I had 5.20 sinus used and I didn't have the parameter of the maximum phase current.

Re: AUDI A4 B5 conversion to 135 volts
sincosofs is selected for a soft start of the engine after it starts to rotate
Firmware version 5.14
the phase current can be limited, there is such a parameter iacmax

Re: AUDI A4 B5 conversion to 135 volts
in the new firmware version, this field has disappeared.
I didn't know that it affects the engine start. it's like for the sine/cosine and resolver settings field..
