Hi,

I have aquired the original Tesla contactors and additionally got the shunt from the battery pack. The only thread i found about this piece is from 2017 when Damien got one as a donation and posted about it on DIY Electric car forum.

Sadly there was never an update post.

Did someone manage to use this shunt for current measuring or do i need to buy another one.

I am planning on using SimpBMS for the Battery (I3) and an LDU with the evbmw board.

Best regards
Nils

Shunt requires isolated comms, and people have had it working. However this is not compatible with the SimpBMS.
Also be careful the OE Tesla Contactors are none economised thus need a diode and be setup as per SimpBMS usermanual.

Thank you for the info.
Then i guess i will be on the lookout for another current sensor.
I also have the contactors from an I3 Battery pack and will check if they have an economizer. (And maybe there is even a current sensor in the I3 SME)
