Good day all !
So I'm planning to use the GS540H tranny on my future dream EV and I have some questions:
1: what's the maximum output of this tranny in kw ?
2: what's the lowest voltage can be used with its inverter ?
3: how torquey is it from a stand still ? is it enough for burnouts?
that's it for now and thanks for taking the time to read

Re: Questions about Gs450H gearbox
If you’re seriously considering this power train, read the GS450H VCU support thread start to finish. All these questions are answered there. There is a link to the Wiki page on page 1 of that thread. The GS450H Discussion thread is good too.

Thank you all for your support !
Since i made this post ive been doing daily researsches and i'm commited to go with the gs450h setup!
The thing is i coulndt find any seller that would ship to my counry (Saudi Arabia), so i gueuss it will take a long time to source the inverter and tranny.

Re: Questions about Gs450H gearbox
the gs450h is nice but if it is difficult to source, take the path of least resistance, especially if it is your first conversion, don't worry it will still be a challenge, if I was to do it all over again I would seriously consider the Prius power train, it is by far the best bang for the buck, so let me share with you what you may already know:thatwildman wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 1:10 pm Thank you all for your support !

as of this writing the Toyota "Cheese Wedge Styling" Prius, ha ha comes in four generations, some lend themselves to EV conversions others do not
- First generation (XW10; 2001-2003) - not for EV conversions, possibly cause the motor is too weak, not sure
- Second generation (XW20; 2004-2009) excellent choice for a front wheel drive EV conversion since it has a transaxle
- this platform is being used by the gentlemen who spent nearly a decade reverse engineering the inverter technology and owns this website/forum, Johannes Hübner he is converting an Audi in Germany for his friend using the parts from a second gen Prius please see his progress on YouTube Lab Update #56: Audi A2 project intro, I could not think of a better resource or blue print to follow, he also sells parts ie the custom controller to make the Prius prius outside the prius, ha ha Toyota Prius™ Gen2 inverter controller - community edition for even more videos and in depth know how please check out his Patreaon Johannes Huebner creating EV components
- Third generation (XW30; 2010-2015) another excellent choice for a front wheel drive EV Conversion since it has a transaxle
- The gent who is doing conversions using the third gen Prius components needs no introduction, he is handsome, he has a cat, his YouTube videos have been known to cure insomnia, Prius Inverter Logic Board Installation Manual Part 1 Mr. Damien Maguire he also sells parts, Prius Gen 3 Inverter Logic Board making your life easier and takes your money via Patreaon whilst ... creating Open Source Electric Vehicle Projects
- Fourth generation (XW50; 2016-2022) - as of this writing I am unaware of anyone converting using this power plant, correct me if I am wrong
