state EVSEActivate Tesla Gen 2 first charging attempt

Post by Gregski »

total newb here, looking for help, trying to charge my BMW 530e battery pack (current voltage of 346v ) with a Tesla Model S Gen 2 Charger (TPN: 1014963-00-K)

I believe I am all wired up for Manual (non J1772) charging on 120 volts, I can get all three power modules to power up (or at least light up the red LEDs)

I do not hear any contactor clicking coming from the charger and the state EVSEActivate I don't know what that means

Many values are suspiciously 0, I'm thinking you need to close that solder jumper below the wifi module (CAN termination)

Yeah, I made that mistake on the first charger too. I actually printed out the wiki page back then and this paragraph got lost on a page break.

I added a common issues section to that wiki page a few weeks ago at the bottom, so it is written twice on that page but I have a feeling more people will stumble at that part.
