Ioniq IGBT Gate Driver board
Hello, I’m in the process of converting my 75 year old ex Sydney Ferry to electric drive using a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq Electric drivetrain. The mechanical conversion is well underway but I’ve a long way to go sorting the electronic controls out and would welcome some help with interfacing the existing gate driver board with an open inverter VCU
The IGBT module is a Mitsubishi J1 series complete with driver board which uses a separate M81603JFP 32 pin IC to drive each IGBT. Two extra pins on these IGBT’s provide on chip current and temperature sensing. I haven’t been able to find any data sheets online but I’d like to use this board if possible, so I’m contemplating how to figure out the 28 pin header connection from the original MCU and connect an Open inverter Gen 3 board in its place.
Any suggestions?
