what is max battery nominal voltage for leaf inverter?

so the controller is in the leaf inverter right? what is the max battery voltage i can use?

the em57 Gen2 Inverter igbt’s and capacitor are rated at 600v.

I wouldn’t go over 500v

504 max voltage from a 120s pack should be good then right?😏😏 good 444v nominal. Just to make the motor spin faster?

Why doesn’t anyone do this already?👀

I don’t see an issue. Just don’t want voltage spikes over the rated values.

Not so much “faster” but more power yes.


it requires more work on the battery management side of things, as most packs are 96s. You would have to make or get a bms that can manage 120 cells.

Also not a lot of obc available can output 500v.
