For anyone looking to use this, the output connector can be found on:
General Motors p/n 84024993
Tesla p/n 1100169-00-D, or 110900410-G (?)
Check the key of the connector, whatever part you buy. Only Key A will work!!!

I’m told theres also a volvo harness with this connector, but I don’t know the part number.

arber333 wrote: Fri Aug 19, 2022 6:02 am DcDc can be connected to HV directly. If you show it PWM it starts with 14V. But if you remove PWM it will revert to 13.6V as a failsafe.

Charger will require 100Hz PWM signal to run and BMS to stop it when pack is full.
I bet you could get zombieverter to output 2x PWM signals for you...
Thanks for the input. Do you know how to get the Zombieverter to output the PWM signals? Do you know what is required for the Volt Gen 2 BMS to operate? Sorry if these are silly questions, my electronics knowledge is limited, I appreciate you sharing yours.

I have found that this connector works for the HV DC output on the charger: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... -1/5423199
and this one for the control pins: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... 01/1756779

Thanks for that, I'll get one ordered :)

Any idea what the AC input connector is?

I am not sure…
Mine has less markings on the AC connector than it did on the DC one, just says “DELPHI”
But I have not spent much time looking for it yet.

this Chevy Volt video popped up on my YouTubes and I thought you may want to see how the charger works in an actual Chevy Volt and how it wants to charge at 8 amps and you need to force it to 12 amps

Well i tried to force pwm to my gen2 charger (when i had one at home) to charge actual gen2 battery (also here). I could get up to 9A at 90% duty signal and after 92% charger wouold trip out and stopped charging. But curiously enough 9A would start as low as 78% duty. Again i didnt connect any coolant to it so any excercise was brief.
Maybe there is something to the PWM signal i didnt figure out. Feel free to play with it :).

The most I ever saw was 12amps but, the battery was very low on charge.
But when the battery was almost fully charged the amps output dropped to around 8.9 amps.
Both readings were from the DC side of the charger.

Hey guys does this information help? This seems like it explains the correct way to communicate with a EVSE/power source to function like it was in a stock vehicle.

https://www.picoauto.com/library/automo ... ns-type-2/

I think this explains why some have had success using a 5v signal and some success with 12v signals.

This video explains better.
