Hi everyone,
I am sure that Mercedes-Benz B class electric motor is supported by the Damian logic board. My questions is by replacing the logic board does this motor gets its full Tesla LDU power or it is still 170hp as in installed on the B-class.

It has its full power, Zero-EV has had multiple motors and we can confirm the RAV-4 or B-class motors are electrically identical to Tesla Model S units.

oh yeah! bought one of these on a whim! so glad I did!

In order to use these you need to replace the 12V connector as it is different to the Tesla Plug and thus does not work with the open source logic board.

I believe ZeroEV sell a new connector and cable.

Yes and No.

Both do not fit from factory;

Connector: you need to modify the case a bit, not hard just tedious.
Cable: Current one in stock is too short, as the motor is clocked different it needs to be almost twice as long.

ok I think this is my 12 volt connector ya guys are talking about on my Mercedes B class large drive unit?

The picture is a 14 pin Mercedes B class inverter connector.

I bought a male? 23 pin amp seal ms3 connector and 8 ft harness like the one that connects to the Tesla large drive unit. Now I guess that I need a female end and to figure out how to wire it in there right? should be really awesome!!! haha

should I buy this and wire it in? hmmm

or maybe just use the stock connector somehow?

(After looking back at this part I realize that this is only one side to the connector. I still need what these plug into)

I guess the next step is to open it back up and see the other side of the male end to find the wire that is too short that needs to be twice as long for proper clocking.

ended up finding a male ms3 connector on ali express for 8 bucks. Maybe it will come before the end ot the year.

(Now I have two of these Male connectors, still no female connector)

I didn't see this thread before... If you just need the connector those are Ampseal-23 connectors, very easily available within US.

You do realise, that also the internal wiring is of a reduced pin count. Also to note due to the different clocking you cannot use the replacement or existing Tesla LDU connector boards in a Merc unit.

Then cut off one end and extend it and solder it to a AmpSeal 23 pin 90 degree header.

Yes I have the connector and wiring loom. Here is a photo. Now I need the other side and pins.

Ok got the parts that Isaac recommended and it looks like I need to find the opposite side of the connector. The part that this plugs into. All the help on this forum has been really cool, thanks guys!

I am pretty sure I found the side I need on aliexpress just taking a while for them to ship from China right now. Maybe I can find one on the mouser website. Just have no idea how people find connectors on this website. It is like a special language that they only teach to electricians or something. I feel like it won't be too long though before I got this figured out. Thanks guys!

Is the harness from zero ev the opposite connector that I am looking for? Just curious because I can not tell from the photo.

These connectors are "Ampseal" brand name -- usually with the name it isn't too hard to find what you need

It''s got pins built in so you just solder straight to those -- a breakout might be a good idea so you don't bend pins.

Get the one that is a 90 degree header, you ware going to need as much space as possible, due to the clocking of the Mercedes casing compared to the Tesla one the connector is positioned even tighter then normal.

I just bought the harness John Volk used on his white bmw E30 converitable that he recommends on his YouTube channel. 23 pin amp seal connector 8 foot wiring harness/loom. It was on diyautotune.com.

Ok think I ordered the right female connector with the 90 degree header just like Isaac and Tom have recommended. The picture on the website looks like it makes the 90 degree bend! I am so stoked! Thank you electric friends!

You still aint getting it are you, you require the internal connection from the logic board to the 90 degree header. Plus then you need to generate a pinout, from the logic board to the 90 degree header.

Once you get the 90degree header and modify the casing for it to fit, check the casing still fits on the inverter without the header smashing into something.
