Convert a 18 ft boat to electric

Hi all, I am planning to convert a Bow Rider 18ft ski boat to electric. I will be removing the Mercruiser 3L petrol engine 135 Hp and tank. Bought 2012 Leaf motor, inverter.Just started to get my head around wiring and controls.....but have a few questions, if anyone can help.

1. I am leaving the out drive Alpha One Leg and going to marry up the Leaf motor to the shaft.....will it work? Power of original engine to power of new motor? Not looking for high speed ,but good torque for take off. 24 kwh battery
2.Is the Pre charge resistor 100 watts and 100 ohms?
3. Size of main HV fuse.

Any advice will be welcome,
Thanks Colm.

Hi Jamie, My latest plan is to replace 3 litre inboard engine for leaf or Siemens motor, I was thinking of an OB but my requirements have steered me towards inboard. I have being doing a bit of research re. leaf and Siemens motors in boats , no data on the leaf and the Siemens is tried and tested, its a work horse. Using Damiens VCU to control the motor, Just bought a throttle {throttle position sensor] on ebay just waiting on it to arrive. Plan to use the original Throttle and gear shift in the boat. Its my first project so learning as I go, if I can do anything to help, do drop us a message.

Sounds like a cool project!
While I am certainly NOT an authority on the subject, some thoughts on the above and second HV relay question...

1) You may be able to take the drive plate off the engine and use the hub to verify fitment or make an adapter for the out drive.
2) The one I have, on a Leaf relay board, is 30 ohms
3) Depends on your power and voltage; Prius is like 125A, not sure about the Leaf
4) Most use a relay for both the HV + and HV-, I think doing so is VERY wise.
