I'm building a electric motorbike and I was wondering if anyone has a picture or has the specs of a single igbt from a nissan leaf inverter.

cheers

Hi, I've just teared apart my damaged gen.1 Nissan Leaf inverter. Here are some photos with the IGBTs.

Oh wow, those are good pictures. Trying to understand what I'm seeing...
Diodes on the left, IGBTs on the right. 3 per module. Emitter on the middle rail? Collector on the side rails? An extra connection to both collector and emitter for the gate driver and then 4 gate wires? Where is the temperature sensor? Or did the Leaf 1 not have one? I remember there was none on the control board, instead in the capacitor.

Those photos reminded me i have some faulty Volt transistors too.
If you observe the first one you see a black smudge in the bottm right corner. I believe this is toasted transistor junction. Desat certainly thinks so.
Transistors are in some sort of clear goo which trapped the burned traces in my case.

Next photo is from another transistor and here it is not so obvious. A black dot... Desat still throws this one out every time.

*edit* Gen2 leaf inverter igbts are 600v

What amperage?

I think that the gen1 and 2 are almost the same. The hole pack can easily support 1000A RMS current.
You can find a detailed benchmark here: https://www.energy.gov/sites/prod/files ... 2013_o.pdf
