I have been able to successfully charge the battery. Now I can't seem to get the zombieverter out of charging mode without a hard reset.
Thank you for confirming other issues resolved with version 2.20A update.
The Leaf PDM should have the plug state change to unplugged and that should stop the charging. Please provide your parameters as they are now on your zombie for review. (please provide as an attachment not copied into the reply)
Once the Leaf PDM tells the Zombie Charge plug is out it should go out of charge mode, it works on Damiens truck like that.

Tom,
First, I would really like to thank you for your help. Next, I will tell you that to charge the vehicle I have been turning the ignition to Accessory to charge so that all the 12v systems power up, but the truck is still in off OPMODE. Here are the charging sequences I have tried:
Accessory mode->plug in charger->The AC charging works->I unplug the charger= the truck is still in charge OPMODE
Plug in charger->Accessory Mode->The AC charging works->I unplug the charger= the truck is still in charge OPMODE
Ignition Off->Plug in charger->The AC charging works->I unplug the charger=the truck is still in charge OPMODE
When the truck charges, it doesn't seem to leave the charge OPMODE when I unplug the charger. No combination of accessory or start signal from the ignition makes it leave this mode. I have to hard reset or power cycle the VCU.
Also, the zombieverter seem to automatically set the UDCSW parameter to 330 when I set it to 300. Is this because the pack is so degraded that its automatically being set to the lowest safe voltage based on the weakest cell in the pack?

because you are running a leaf BMS it automatically updates UDCsw
Do you have anyway to log the CAN bus it seems your PDM does not report the correct charge connector status. The info that is used to go out of charging.

Tom, I purchased a Innomarker USB2CAN adaptor and was able to use SavvyCAN to capture the CAN bus. I have attached two dump files, with the last one being the most brief version of the vehicle going into accessory mode, plugging in the charger, the vehicle starting to charge, the vehicle being unplugged after time stamp 97007396 and still being in charge mode. This is my first time capturing a CAN bus, so let me know if there is anything else I can provide to help diagnosis this issue.

I can see byte 5 of 00x390 going to 0x8C at end of log which is an error state. It does show 0x88 when plugged in which is good.
What is the resistance of your charge port, proximity to ground?
Also what else is connect to cause the 0x7xx messages?

The only thing on that bus is the Leaf drivetrain, a Bluetooth ODB2 dongle for Leafspy, and the shunt. I stopped using the ISA shunt with the new update, but never removed it. I don't think I have anything else connected.

What does that say? Kohm? You disconnect it from the pdm?

I did extend the charging connection from the PDM to that gas port but didn't permanently mount it yet since I was going to replace it. I just received a new CCS1 port that I'm going to use to add the Foccci in the future.
Here is a better picture of the multimeter which is reading 7.97 mohm now:

The OE Nissan has 2.7Kohm between Proximity and group

I replaced the old extended j1772 port with a Phoenix Contact CCS1 port at the gas fuel door. This fixed the charging issue, which seemed to be a bad pp line.
I got 24 4s1p Sunwoda 2.2kwh vda355 modules for a new battery pack. I'll use the OpenInverter BMS in the new pack.
Does anyone know where to get this connector?

Are these from battery hookup?
From my memory they don’t have a very high c rate

Yes, they are from Battery Hookup. The site claims 150 amps continuous and 450 amps 10 second pulses. That is about 1C continuous and 3.4C pulse. Will that be ok for general use?

Oh that should be fine, I just remember seeing much lower specs, perhaps my memory is not serving me right.
Are you going to make two packs under the bed?

I was thinking about making two packs under the bed or a single battery box similar to your 720. I haven't fully committed to a design yet. I wonder how different our frames are?

It’ll be tight, I was doing one saddle pack, with a drive shaft tunnel. Which would require the drive shaft removed to drop the pack. the king cab takes up more space unfortunately.
Being 4x4 the frame is quite different and the hardbody is wider. So you might have more depth!
as long as you can have dead space from the bottom of the cells to the bottom of the pack. If not a 3rd box bellow the tail gate!
I was going todo laser cut aluminum plates that 4 modules bolted to making an assembly.

I'll have to take some measurements and mock up what I can fit into the frame area. Are the laser cut aluminum plates that 4 modules bolted to making an assembly going to be water cooled as well? I live in the desert, so heat while charging or under load is a concern for me. I'd like my battery pack to last about 100,000 miles or more.

I don't have much in the way of updates, but I have been using the truck around town frequently. I seem to have worked out all of the j1772 charging issues.

No issues is a worthy and encouraging update, mate!
You could start tracking consumption of the car if nothing else?
