the speed is motor rpm on the right hand scale the inverter temp and current on the left

Here's the latest run hit a max speed of 65mph felt strong and smoothe just ran out of road
65.png

6.7mph per 1000 rpm so for me a theoretical 94mph if it makes max rpm and it feels like it will

What does that work out at rpm/V?

Did you see his speed level off? So there is no point speculating.

managed to get an extra 5mph had to brake pretty hard at the end of it though
I really need to get to a decent stretch of road so 70 Mph and still pulling strong

Gosh darnit, looks like I might have to sell both the leaf motor and GS450H at the rate!

Why? GS450h has a way higher prop speed. And also should be the more powerful motors.

The only real upside of the IS300h is the not needing of an externa oil pump.

No oil pump, simpler, less to go wrong, lighter and smaller

Down side: 4500 rpm prop speed limit. Lets not dilute this thread more with things already covered in other topics.

Very Impressive, thanks for graf and graphing.

Would you be able to do some stable runs at any 10mph, 20mph, 30 mph, ........etc. etc .

Keen to know approximate stable current draw data.

Much appreciated if not too difficult to find an airfield
( just kidding) or decent bit of flat road.

decent empty road is my problem I'm afraid :)

Yes, imagine that is a challenge.. anything approximating stable current draw , you can manage would be great, as your chart can be interpolated to suit difficult request folks like myself. Thanks.

looks like circa 325A and 350v at the battery? so ~115kw

Is it still limited in software, or is that all it will give?

One question, the time line on the bottom, is that on tenths of a second,
looks exceptional acceleration if that is so. Thanks

Looks like hundreds, so 30 to 60mph in couple of seconds .

Helps put your earlier post in line.. about screaming and wheel spinning down the road.😆

It's limited in software currently

No idea on the bottom scale

I think the numbers across the bottom are sample number. The time varies with "Burst length" but from tests I have done it is about 27-28ms per sample with "Burst length" = 10.

This is fantastic. Really shows the l210 is a usable option. Thanks for sharing all your hard work.

:D Great work, has put my attempted use of the Prius zvw30 inverter with the L210 sadley to rest... To be replaced with the 300h inverter, and have ordered a Zombie, to follow the path you have blazed... Again well done and thanks.. Enjoy your Zipping 3 around

I though from the beginning it should not be a problem whit top speed, despite those gear rations etc...
I mean , Lexus top speed wasn't 100-120 km/h.. It is much more with the same gearbox... Why should be now the problem..
ok , you need to change low ratio diff etc.. but that is not problem..

And I believe max power is approx the same as 450h, despite official rating.. Maybe is gh450 slightly more but nothing significant.
I think Is300 is better option then gs450. Smaller, lighter, single speed, no extra oil pump (no extra 12v power consumption), It has PARKING LOCK prop,
easier to run...

My Z3 is pretty much off the road for now as the extremely harsh power delivery makes it hard to drive safely and will tear out my bushes some of the updates in the Zombie pipeline should relieve or hopefully fix this issue so I'm doing the jobs I put off while evaluating the feasibility of the 300h which I think we can all agree has been decided as a yes it is.
My rear battery box only has a fuse, no contactor and no safety disconnect the contactor I have and is a simple fix and I have purchased a kia niro (I believe) safety disconnect which also contains a fuse, the only issue with it is that the fuse sits about 10mm higher than the mountings for the disconnect
IMG20240403120000.jpg
So I made an adapter to allow me to mount it flush with the top of my rear battery box, since I dont have a 3d printer or the cad skills required I made it using my CNC mill which was probably a lot quicker than printing anyway
IMG20240414123048.jpg
IMG20240414135138.jpg
IMG20240414135107.jpg
I also need to tidy the wiring and plumbing
