Damien is using a Fiat Van clutch disc (watch from 2:35) :)
Is this the clutch plate?
Clutch Plate Fiat Ducato 2500 Turbo Diesel MK1 85-93 Clutch Disk?
He mentions it being a Fiat Multipla.

Here is how the 1.6l Fiat Multipla centre spline fits the Leaf output shaft

While I don't have many miles on my Fiat clutch Leaf coupler I do have some experience with these things:)

My opinion is that having a perfect coupler would be perfect having one that works ...well, works. I have seen the most ridiculous couplers last for ages and those machined down to microns come flying out the side of a bellhousing. I've even done both myself. Don't let the pursuit of perfect keep you from getting on with a build.

I think the same. On my Mazda original clutch is rattling like old kettle. So finally i put two clutch center pieces in my coupler. Now i have peace of mind... It still rattles though.

in a few days I’ll be sending out an order for 10 couplers, hopefully.
As I’m sure for many others here, life is a bit chaotic at the moment. So things are taking longer than usual.
Hey, Bratitude,
Can you publish the finished design pictures?
I need to connect the leaf to a drive shaft.
I'm interested seeing if your design will work for me.
Thanks
Currently away, but couplers are on order.

Ill try to dig out the specs. Spent a good amount of time setting the coupler up to be fairly universal for most people’s needs

was ether a 3in or 2.75 di plate with centring marks that match the rotex gs38 bolt pattern.

couple will nest in an angler bearing, with renting clip. For those wishing to run a clutch or drive shaft.

You have another customer here in the UK! Need your solution to link to a Karmann Ghia gearbox....

Wait. Are you putting a flywheel and clutch on this? If so...hmmmmmmm...How can I get one of these in the US?

Looks great!

I'd love to purchase one of these from you. I have a CNC machine so I'm planning on making my own adapter plate and would integrate the same spec'd angular bearing.

Are you in a position to start selling the coupler?

designed the coupler to be as universal as possible, so yes with the angular contact bearing you should be able to mount a flywheel.

few more days and I’ll start taking orders

Sorry, my mechanical knowledge is trash. Does that mean it has a contact bearing in it, or a shop should be able to easily put one in? This solves the concern everyone had about putting too much load on the shaft, correct? Because the bearing is supporting it now?

Do you have any firmer prices, or still $200-300 Canadian? I'm interested in one. The LEAF motor is probably the cheapest option out there with good power...

Thanks for doing this, it's awesome.

Hi everyone. This is my first post. I accidentally came across a clutch from suzuki samurai. What do you think about this? 20x20,1x23,1
Multipla has 20x20,2x23,2

That and the fiat clutch plate are your only choice unless you can get a custom one make.

Checkout Damien's video on making the coupler

Cost, machineablity, corrosion resistance, strength, welds well too. What 3D hubs had to offer, 304l seamed like a good choice

Can you tell us anything more about which GS coupler parts we need? I'm having trouble because there are just so many options and sizes.

as well, KTR told me they are strictly a EU supplier and that i had to go elsewhere for Rotex parts in NA.

thanks!

The marked bolt pattern (should) match a rotex gs38. but it’s really up to you.

I’m not using a rotex in my application. I’ve milled the transmission coupler with a tapperd angled extrusion(which matches the tapper on the leaf coupler) to centre / provide a friction connection. all clamped together with a 6 m8x1.25 bolts.

I can upload all the cad drawings of each part of the assembly when I’m back at my workspace(about a week or so)
