GN0W outlander rear motor pinout

Post by aloysius2 »

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with controlling the newer outlander (GN0W model) rear motors? I'm planning on a datsun 1200 ute conversion, mounting the motor where the diff goes, using a suzuki cappuccino rear cradle. I've aquired what I believe is either a 2022 or 2023 outlander rear drive unit, where the inverter is integrated with the motor/diff unit. It came without any of the cables, so I'm trying to work out which wires in the connector are used and for what.

Connection to the unit is via a 14 pin connector, of which 8 pins are used. The 8 wires run internally to a board, via a 12 pin connector, with the following wire/pin assignments (from labeling on the board);

1: -
2: Black
3: -
4: Orange
5: White
6: Green
7: Yellow
8: Purple
9: Grey
10: Red
11: -
12: Blue

I'm guessing that it should be similar to the older outlander inverters, where there is CANH CANL, 12V, RSDN? Maybe the other wires are temperature sensors in the phases?

Thanks in advance!
Nick
