Upgrading Ev battery 2018 i8 LCI into 2016 bmw i8

I recently got a good deal on 2018 bmw i8 11.6 kWh battery, which was in car accident which deployed air bags.

After reading everything around internet
My concern is

1) After putting Ev battery in the car if Ev battery BMS has crash codes
Can we erase the crash code with ISTA plus then contract is close?

2) if fuses are blown, after Puttting Ev battery, would I know it while attempting erasing crash code?

Local EV technicians give me quote $1500 to check status of battery and erase crash code but he doesn’t guarantee to erase code it may not be possible if fuses are blown

So I would like to just slap in the EV battery

If the airbags went off, youll probably need to replace the SME along with the Pyrofuse cable going to the 12v Battery at a bare minimum.
Your new battery if it didnt come from crash car hopefully has a good SME.

I would make sure your resolve all the Pedestrian safety/ Airbag faults on the car before fitting new hardware.
Like replace the crash sensors on the front bar and the pressure sensors in the front bar so it doesnt trigger any further faults after you install new hardware.
ISTA will tell you the expected resistance for Pyro and airbags so you can spoof these to get rid of faults before you replace airbags.
