Kona 64Kwh - Blocks of 10 Cells for sale - Full Pack only 4.900 Euro  [SOLD]

Post by Zapatero »

Unfortunately the Kona Battery won't fit the Subaru as intended due to certification regulations in Germany (distance to the front and rear bumber not big enough). So i have to sell it.

Battery only has 16.000Kms and Model Year is 2020

I would swap the whole thing for a Nissan Leaf 40KWh Battery, too!

10-Cell-Pack: 599€
Whole Pack: 4.900€

Location: Dornstadt 89160, Germany. Shipping on Pallet is possible

Picture shows the Cells used in my homemade ESS that i built out of another Kona Battery - yes i had 2 64KWh batteries

What are those requirements do you know them?
Can't you go 2P and schrink the pack?

The minimum distances of the energy storage device for vehicles of categories M and N shall be 420 mm from the front outer limit of the vehicle and 300 mm from the rear outer limit of the vehicle as possible. “
Note the “möglichst/ as possible”. I would interpret this not as a strict rule, but instead there may be some wiggle room depending on the car and the inspector.

You would think that's not to much mm.

@Zapatero; Isn't there a wide body kit available for that car?
That would move the extreme dimensions maybe correct for this regulation?

It's not possible to seperate the cells and it wouldn't solve my problem. They are wo wide for my application. German TÜV says electroluted parts cant be any closer than 420mm from the front and 300mm from the rear. When i certified my GT86 these regulations didn't exist - alltough it wouldn't have been a problem there.

I agree to the "if possible" BUT i only have 18cm in front - that's definitely not enough.
