Prius inverter as a DC source ?

Post by EvPrud »

if I connect a three-phase diode bridge and a capacitor to the output of the inverter, can I get a regulated DC voltage at the bridge output ?

With the motor control firmware you won't as there is no voltage regulation.

You can try this firmware https://github.com/jsphuebner/stm32-island
It uses the boost converter to generate a regulated DC voltage which of course must be higher then you input DC voltage. So then you can tap regulated DC voltage right off the DC bus instead of first inverting and then rectifying it.

is there an option to make a variable 380 of three phases or 220 between two phases?
