ZombieVerter dynamic pin assignments and more vehicle support

Post by johu »

We finally got the master branch of ZombieVerter working again which is a good step forward as the structure is starting to shape up to the task at hand.

I noticed I was a bit late to the party, I have now created a second pull request that aims to make the various digital outputs configurable.

I also added a SubaruVehicle class that aims to interface specially with Zapateros Impreza controls. That is resistor ladders for cruise control and drive mode selection and running speedometer, temp gauge and fuel gauge with PWM outputs.

I will also add some of the cracked heaters, A/C compressors, chargers etc. Gotta say the hardware is really capable for interfacing these.

If anyone wants to chime in, please merge the pull requests one after another to your local copy, build a binary and test the hell out of it.

I could also add some binaries here but afraid it could get into the wrong hands, what do you think?

This sounds really exciting. I'm just at the point of considering what workarounds would be needed until those inputs/outputs could be available and how to interface to my car so this could be really helpful. Hopefully can chip in to help :)

Are you saying that there is a possibility for the ZombieVerter to turn on the heat pump? Like say a Nissan Leaf one on a Nissan Leaf stack?

I know someone on the forum here was working on it. But if that is cracked, that would be awesome.

Yes the hardware is capable, just needs the code written for it
https://bratindustries.net/ leaf motor couplers, adapter plates, custom drive train components
