Outlander Component reuse products

Post by tom91 »

Having developed a controller and used the Outlander Rear inverter and motor in various projects I have decided to create som products to simplify its use. These should be of intrest to the DIY community, please let me know if there are any other items you would want me to have a look at creating for the Outlander components.

HV Cable Glands
The set of two glands are suitable for 50 mm² and 35 mm² HV cable. Manufactured from nickel plated brass and locked in place via M6 stainless steel retaining tab with M6 bolt included.

LV Connector Replacement
I have designed and had 3d printed in Nylon some connector housings that I can assemble into flyleads or conversion looms.
The 3D printed connector is not fully sealed, however if you purchase one from me with wiring I will pot the back of it.
The Housing works for both the rear LV controls connector as well as the Rear Motor Connector on the rear inverter and the rear motor.

Note: I have yet to build a motor encoder temperature loom and verify that it works.

LV Control Connector - 3D Printed connector, headers and pins
LV Control Connector flylead - Assembled and potted (please specify length)
LV Control Connector conversion harness - Assembled and potted 20cm harness to convert to superseal, including mating superseal connector and pins.

Others
Please let me know fi there is anything else that would help you utilize Outlander component in your builds that i should look at making available.

Today I verified my Inverter to Motor cable assemblies work.

So I can now offer the service of building you a cable to the length you need for your Rear inverter to Rear motor setup. Please get in touch if you are looking for one.

For this cable I will use my 3d printed nylon housings also 2x6 core shielded cables. The connectors will be potted once they have been tested.
