Glad to hear that you have reach Östersund, and pm_dawn! I had no idea that using fast charging station was this bad.

Did you use 30% regen as standard or did you turn it off and glide downslope.
Sometimes if i need to extend my range i feel it is better to drive at 70km/h to 90km/h and take regen down so i conesrve energy. And Leaf gearbox is very good at that. I feel that Mazda transmission has much more drag in it.
What do you think your transmission is like?
I change regen settings a lot while driving, I can adjust it up and down via the cruise control buttons. Usually I leave it fully off on straight and level roads. On downslopes I let cruise control brake to not exceed the speed limit (both official and from passenger seat :D )
Consumption is typically 150 Wh/km here, with 80 or 90 km/h limit.
Range I'd still have to extrapolate, but at least the 40 kWh BMS seems very accurate on SoC as opposed the the 24 kWh one. Will do more testing the coming days, but it should exceed 200 km.

Yes and we repaired the charger yesterday! That should help to avoid public charging from now on. Currently charging on the camp site, took all night to get from 40 to 85% because I don't dare loading the sketchy installation so much!

Yay, more charger trouble. We did a 150 km trip to the west today and then wanted to go eastwards. Battery was at 40% so decided I better charge a bit because we were looking into another 100 km.
So got off in Östersund.
1. Veefil station. Couldn't get it to work
2. Recharge station: powered down
3. Mer station: "failure in vehicle". But a Norwegian next to me couldn't charge either on CCS.

So not a single station in Östersund is working.

Success today! We are off to the mountains and to my surprise there is a fast charger there (find Börtnan on a map!). Starting the process is a bit sketchy, I installed the easypark app on my radio (phone is too old). The radio is landscape and the app doesn't like landscape so parts of the starting screen are not visible and I more or less blindly selected a charge time. But then it charged :)

So what Sweden lacks in servicing chargers, the Swedes make up in helpfulness. It's incredible.
Yesterday a man I never met before drove me to my car parked 75km away because we couldn't make the last stretch of our hike. Today our host built a makeshift ramp to let me work under the car. Why, you might ask. Because I smashed polycarbonate battery cover on a gravel road.

Also today was a good charging day. I drove to Svenstavik and discovered the charger was free and working :) Plug in, press start, go shopping. Return to a 90% charged car. Also noticed charging speed is quite good when the battery is not so hot to begin with or you start charging at 50%. LBC was still allowing 20 kW at 90%.
Next I tried a charger for the fun of it in Åsarna. It must be a very early fast charger that only has a single CHAdeMO plug! So less competition with other EVs. And it was also free!

Was too busy to take pictures of the smashed cover. But it is quite incredible what a few 100km on gravel did to my aluminium profiles. Might take a picture of that tomorrow.

Another 1300 km road trip coming up:

Will be gone from September 13th till October 3rd. Orders in that time will ship after that, emails in that time will probably just be lost.

Will be using Touran of course and it is divided into 3 days.
