Anyone doing conversions for customers?

Post by ryanwhite »

Hi there
This is a weird one, but I thought I'd ask on the off chance that it's possible to get a solution, and we just didn't know, because we didn't ask!

We're relocating to IRL, will be looking to get a car as of 1 Oct 2022 and have a budget of 6-7K EUR to buy a car. Is there anyone out there who can supply a car within that budget, or is there anyone who has done a project, wants to offload the car, and get a bit of money back to start the next one?

Minimum specs would be:
-> Can be registered and insured as a vehicle, to run on public roads
-> Can transport up to 4 people
-> Max range approx 100KM
-> Max speed - whatever is legal on motorways
-> Able to charge at public charge points or off home supply (if only 1 must be possible, home supply)

Hope I'm not offending with "low-ball" budget or anything - we simply don't have a clue what the market is like, or much about EV conversions in general - only that, if we can avoid buying an ICE vehicle, that would be great.

Any info/contacts/pointers much appreciated :)

I think you are hoping for a lot to be honest. It does cost more than that to convert with all of the things youve mentioned. But, people do sell their projects, so maybe you'll be lucky.
