Help neede in program settinsg

Post by DIETZENBACH »

Help needed !
Over two weeks efortless trying to start the motor.Cheked many settings , but no result.
The motor don`t want to spin
The Spot value page states : Status UDCBELLOWUDCSW;
UDC =0 ; Set to 0,no contactors available.
UDC= - 83,56 ; Motor connected to 60V battery set
Angel plotting shows stright line, according the setting.
Turning the motor by hand shows no respons on the chart.
The resolver connections shows ca78ohm for Sin/Cos and ca.35Ohm for Supply.
What shall I do to make it run ?

What inverter is this? udc=-83,56V reminds me much of a Prius inverter without 12V supply or a dodgy Nissan Leaf inverter

It is Prius controller connected.
Spot Value--- SATUS =UdcBelowUdcSW (UDCSW iss et to 0 )—Ploting shows stright line Value =4 (low 3 high 5)
ANGLE –strightline with value 139,4.
The motor shows no motion, when turned by hand.
What shell I set or reset to make it move ?

Tell me what model of control board do you use to control the inverter?

As I know, the Prius Gen2 V2 control board cannot rotate the motor with a resolver, only the encoder. With the Prius 20 inverter, the VCU smd board with charging function is also used. Which engine do you have connected for testing?

According to instruction and & talk with JOHU ,there is resolver function.See the enclosures.
The coneccted motor is MAIDENsha ,enclosed almost in all japanese hybrid cars.Pic.enclosed.
The motor & Controller are attached to 60V DC battery array.I tryed to test it with 12V Dc,then with 60V DC ,but no response.
I could not upload immages as requested.Give me amessage at my email . stoliss@t-online.de,to attche you the fotos.

So, to understand more, you have a Gen2 prius Inverter and Adapterboard connected to your motor?
In the wiki, there are some basic steps for getting motor spinning in manual mode. At what point does it stop working?

Looking quickly at spot values, il1 and il2 seem out of range - 642amps...
Need more info please.

The system -motor & inverter do not respond to the basic settings. The motor never turned itself. What kind of info should I give You.?
For me there is some mismach in the settings, which hinder the whole system to run.

So, you have a Prius Gen2 Inverter then with matching adapter board?
If you search 'Toyota Prius Gen2 Inverter Controller' in the wiki, you come to basic setup. If you have done these steps, where does it start to not work?

Judging by the error in the spot values, your VCU does not have a connection with the inverter, check thoroughly the wiring of the connection exactly as here https://openinverter.org/wiki/Toyota_Pr ... Controller . Do not forget the first inclusion of 12 volts after changes in the wiring, through a car incandescent bulb of 50-55 watts, in order to avoid misunderstandings.

The VCU is performing commands ,and not responding any errors ( inverter ON,Inverter halted and etc ).
The 55W bulb +3 X21W bulbs are as well conected according to scheme to 12v car battery 100A.
But ,there is no result, any light flashing or motor turning. The stated web link is probably out of date, it is shoving any connection to the web.
First of all I do not see the ampnom &fslippnt commands in the menus, according tot he setup list.

I see your point, will have to modify the wiki then. I think you could just wire up the light bulbs in delta format to the Mg2 outputs. Start with 'manual id' at 1amp and see if you get flashing lights.

I recommend reading the whole of the gen2 controller development thread, but as others have said it looks like you’ve not got 12v to the the small 2 pin inverter power plug

The link to the wiki is relevant except for steps 9 and 10, as the manual control interface has been redesigned. Now the manualiq & manualid commands are responsible for this. Also in the video, Damien explained in detail how to work with manual mode. But first of all, you need to find why the VCU and the inverter are not communicating. The connection scheme at the link above works 100% and the setup steps except for the outdated 9 and 10.

In addition, you need to see a screenshot of your web settings panel, perhaps because you do not have the set pinswap 5 command for the Prius
