Heating temperature for hybrid transmissions ?
Heating temperature for hybrid transmissions ?
Hi guys, I found some information on the Internet that the normal operating temperature of hybrid automatic transmissions is somewhere 90-95 degrees Celsius. It seems to me that the magnets in the stator do not really like this and will affect their magnetism characteristics, also the varnish of the winding will degrade from heating. I wonder what are the temperatures of your hybrid automatic transmissions under prolonged load ? Please share information, this will help in organizing proper cooling of the hybrid transmission.

Re: Heating temperature for hybrid transmissions ?
All petrol engines work at 90degC coolant. Any less would cause condenzation of water in oil or on cylinder walls as the energy from otto cycle is removed too quickly.
For hybrid transmission this means it needs to use 180deg varnish and 120deg magnets .
Not a problem for heavy industry, but the use of strategic material...
