Anyone parting out an i3 KLE?

Post by jon volk »

I’m looking for the mating connector for this guy.

I believe it’s one of the 3 connections on the KLE box. Would also be interested in the round AC plug but that’s secondary to the DC connection

Isn't it available at BMW as a sparepart ? I know the HV-chassis connector of the batterybox (330e, 530e, i3) is listed. Might be the same (watch out with the coding notches).

They do list some similar HV sockets, but I havent been able to get any solid info on the keying so Im not convinced to throw money at it yet

It is. I have an i3 CCS charge port that I'd prefer to not hack the connector off. Im redesigning my high voltage contactor box and want to integrate an OE cable plug and play situation. Ive found they clearly indicate the battery pack connector but I didnt see anything on the KLE. The battery pack connector is only $60 so maybe Ill just give it a shot.

Have both here and just had a look; notch is unfortunately not at the right position. Also take into account that this chassis plug-in connections at the rear. Chassis of a KLE has M5 screws if I remember correctly.

I found a high res photo of the plug on the KLE that appears to have the correct key slot. Part number seems to be 762324306 but it doesnt come up anywhere. I did find a KLE listed as-is for parts that I put lowball offer on so we'll see.

Awesome, thanks. I was wondering what the back side looked like. Thats nice and compact.

Basically looking to do a two level box with the i3 LIM underneath. External connectors arent in the final position but thats the general layout.
