0x223:byte5 higher nible bit 0 toggles on reception of 0x28A;
0x233:byte0 & byte 1 contain HV voltage (45 02=60VDC, 7A 01=40VDC)

Ok got it to spit out some messages... (it needs a bit of HV connected)
0x223
0x233
0x363

017A = 37,8V ?
0245 = 58,1V ?

Yeah could welk be the case my LAB power supply is not from A brand. What is your formula?

i found a pdf on the control chip, it works the same as the older tesla compressors, tx-rx but the hes33 uses a can bus decoder of some sort, im currently trying to get mine working. posted some pictures of the control board hoping someone could help us out

Ok; i have it figured out but don't have the compressor hooked up yet to test.
Do you use VCU?

Next stop: is the sensors of the Tesla AC system.
They are temperature and pressure in one housing.
I will make a look up table for each sensor (black one and green?!? one).

My idea is to use my IO module (or a new design based on it) for controlling the AC pump, the waterpumps , valves and reading in the sensors.
Together that makes like a THC controller.

Hi All, I have a 2019 model 3 write off that is still running and in working order including a functioning AC system. I am interested in trying to assist in reverse engineering some of the ancillary devices like the AC and the coolant pump as a way of contributing to this forum. Ultimately I would like to use as much of the car as possible in a conversion project.
I have done some can sniffing on the can bus connected to the AC compressor, so far with little success. I could not identify any messages changing in a consistent way by turning the AC system on and off via the control screen.
If anyone has any suggestions or specific tests they want run on a working system please send a reply and I will endeavour to assist.

tg1929, you could try with different temperatures of the compressor, if feasible, try with different high voltages, it might register pressures, I don't know how you would check that easily...

You can also try over-voltage HV, under-voltage HV, over-voltage LV, under-voltage LV, same with current but not sure how you can create an overload situation...
