This will be my first post on this site.
I've run my own phpBB board since 2007, so I know my way around them. When I join a new forum, I set up my email preferences, my avatar, and my signature. But, I noticed others on this forum have their Location (country, city, etc.) set, and when I went to set my own, there is a missing field in this site's user configuration.
User Control Panel|Profile tab|Edit Profile is missing:

Are you running an extension that suppresses this menu item until a new user has achieved some threshold?
Forum configuration: can't set user's Location, etc.

Check again, on this forum you have limited rights until your first post is approved. That has proven to be a good armor against spammers

Indeed, now that I have one post approved under my belt, so to speak, the "Edit Profile" menu item is now visible/accessible.
I kind of suspected something like that would happen, but there's no way of knowing beforehand. Thanks.
