EM57 current to torque measurement

Hi All,

I have done a bit of searching and haven't found any good info on this.

Has anyone measured the actual dc current input for a given torque output in an EM57 system? Any measurements would be great, a graph would be brilliant.

I'm would like to get some info on this so I can work out what size batteries I can get away with for a drivable mk1 version of my Spitfire conversion.

There is no relationship between DC current and torque, just between AC current and torque.
Zapatero said it is 400 Nm at 650A AC if I collected that right.

That said if you know voltage and rpm you know power and you know torque too.

There has to be some relationship, that's just phyics. The capacitors will smooth the curve, but the dc voltage and current in must relate directly to the AC current and voltage out surely?

Has no one measured this?

The power is the relationship. You can't generate more AC power then you feed with DC. Only tolerance is that in the DC power losses are included.
